Farm Assistant
(May - October | Part-Time)
$16–$20/hr depending on experience
Overview
Hands-on field and post-harvest work supporting crop production, harvest, and wedding needs.
We are a small, human-powered, low-till flower farm. We do not use a tractor, all bed prep, planting, weeding, and harvesting is done by hand using hand tools and walk-behind equipment. Physical stamina, efficiency, and pride in detailed work are essential.
Responsibilities
• Bed prep, planting & transplanting
• Weeding, watering & crop care
• Harvesting & post-harvest processing
• Bucket washing & tool maintenance
• Bunching & order prep
• Supporting wedding harvest schedules
• Assisting with seasonal farm projects
Ideal Candidate
• Can lift 30+ lbs & work outdoors in all weather
• Detail-oriented & efficient
• Takes ownership of their work
• Communicates clearly & shows up reliably
• Has prior farm or physical labor experience (strongly preferred)
• Cares about sustainable growing practices
Commitment
Minimum 8 hours per week, with potential for additional hours during spring + peak growing and wedding seasons.
Flexible shift scheduling with seasonal demands.
Freelance Floral Stylist
(August - October Peak Season | Project-Based)
$20-$25/hr depending on experience
Overview
Ad hoc freelance support for wedding production and on-site installations during our busiest wedding weekends.
This role supports our design team in creating refined, garden-inspired wedding florals across Maine. It is fast-paced, collaborative, and physically active work.
Responsibilities
• Personal flower production
• Centerpiece & arrangement design
• Ceremony & reception installations
• Arch/arbor builds & meadow installs
• Tablescape styling & candle placement
• Event breakdown & strike
Ideal Candidate
• Prior floral design experience (strongly preferred)
• Comfortable with mechanics & installations
• Calm, solutions-focused under time pressure
• Detail-driven & efficient
• Weekend availability required (Aug–Oct)
• Professional, collaborative, and dependable
Commitment
On-call and scheduled per event calendar.
